Privacy Policy
Short version: there is no account and no advertising, your puzzle answers are never sent anywhere, and the site uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how pages are used. The long version says exactly what each one collects.
What Is Collected
No personal information. There is no sign-up, no login, no email capture and no comment system, so there is no name, address or account for the site to hold.
The site does use analytics. Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager record which pages are visited, roughly where in the world the visit came from, and what kind of device and browser it used. Microsoft Clarity additionally records session replays — pointer movement, clicks, scrolling and the pages visited in a session — so that confusing layouts can be found and fixed. Both set cookies, and both are third parties with their own privacy policies.
Your puzzle answers, scores and progress are still never transmitted, and that has not changed. Puzzles are generated in your own browser, marked in your own browser, and explained in your own browser; there is no server-side code that could receive them. The analytics above see that a page was opened — not what you answered.
What Is Stored On Your Device
Some pages remember a little, using your browser's local storage. This is not a cookie: it is never sent with a request, so it never reaches us or anybody else. It stays on the device you used, in the browser you used, and clearing your site data removes it permanently.

All six are counters. None of them holds anything that could identify you, and none of them is readable by any other site.
The One Third-Party Request
Pages load two typefaces from Google Fonts
(fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Because your browser
fetches those files directly from Google, Google receives your IP address and the usual
request headers, and its own privacy terms apply to that request. This is worth stating
plainly rather than burying, because it is the only way any data about your visit reaches a
third party at all.
Nothing about which puzzles you played, how you answered or how you scored is included — the request is for font files and nothing else. The site is also built to work without them: if the fonts are blocked or fail to load, every page renders in your system typeface with no loss of function.
What Is Not On This Site
- No advertising, no ad network and no retargeting.
- No embedded videos, maps, social widgets or comment systems.
- No email list, and therefore no email address to hold.
- No account, so nothing that could identify you by name.
- No selling or sharing of data with anyone beyond the analytics providers named above.
Because analytics cookies are now set, a consent banner is required for visitors in the UK and the EEA, and one is not yet in place. That is a known gap rather than a considered position: until it ships, visitors from those regions are being measured without having been asked, and it should be treated as the next thing to fix.
Children
The site is suitable for children and collects nothing from anybody, so there is no children's data to protect, no age gate and no account to create. Nothing here is personalised, because nothing here is known about the person using it.
Your Rights
Rights of access, correction, erasure and portability all apply to personal data that is held. None is held here, so there is nothing to request access to and nothing to delete on your behalf. The local-storage counters described above are yours already: clearing site data in your browser removes every trace, immediately and completely.
Changes
If the site ever does start collecting something — analytics, or advertising, which would be the realistic reasons — this page will say so before it happens rather than afterwards, and the change date at the foot of the page will move. Questions are welcome at the contact page.
